Final Fantasy XII, first impressions.

Ok so I finally got FFXII!!

I put in the game and I was like ""

Beautiful Prelude and Final Fantasy Theme in the beginning. BEAUTIFUL cutscenes!!!

The voice acting is great, and it feels just like wacthing a movie

the battle system is weird... because it's not true real-time and not true turn based, it just feels weird to walk around and not be able to attack until your time bar fills up..

it's kinda like FFX-2 in that way, except in FFX-2 you can't walk around wherever...

the License system feels just like the Sphere grid system, except you don't need to go find spheres

the actual story is also great! well, so far at least. new world, HUGE places, I love it already!!! could it possibly be my new favorite??

and I love the new Moogles and Battle-chocobos!!! and BUNNY-PEOPLE!!

Oh yeah did I mention I got it Saterday? XD been to busy playing! everything you said was so true and I was going to say it but you already did Voice acting best ever! watched the begining with my mouth open (that happends alot during the game) today I played alot already to but (I'm at the sandasea) I played for like 45 min. then theres like this big blob of fire that has no shape whatso ever and itblocking my way so I try and run past it because its the only way and one hit kills me all

forgot to say favorit game ever??

and my "metal case was bent! you should have seen how mad I was. I bent it back it wasn't to bad but ther is a tiny dent trword the top right on the side and the FFXII sign is bent out a little I like my stuff in perfect condition!

I have yet to watch the extra disk been to busy playing the game

sandsea? is that the part with the rogue tomato? ...or later on? i dunno, i played for an hour or two.

after i finish my homwork, i'm gonna go back and play some more!!

No the rogue tomoto (I ment to spell it that way) is in the eastersand (I think) Yeah I'm over ten hours into the game >_> (what can I say my mom was gone all day yesterday and all day today)

I got my first quickening today! its for Ashe and I can get one for Penelo as soon as I get a few more LP

Forgot to say I HAVE SEEN CID!!!!!!!!!!! doctor cid that is!

I also found out on my DVD that there are two cid's in this game I have only seen the doctor cid though (in the game) he is bad I think but the other one is good....I think

Khold what ever you do don't rush through this game! I stoped playing the main game to do extra stuff and my word there is so much to do! I have mainly been going on hunts (found out I forgot to go back and get payed for the rogue tomato ) I have also been playing match maker to the "lovestuck Rabinastrian" another thing I was working on is finding two peices of a shard to get to a wirm it might be an optional boss. Its in the weastersand i think or the eastersand it would say on the map top right wirms layer.

Just to tell you were I am, I'm at the Henne Mines at the boss. (you will need to level up before this because there are Trynorox's in here at lest three and by the name you should know that they are like T rex's.... but red and the boss in the end here I mean WOW this game is so awesome! the bosses just get better and better!

OH OH OH looks like I didn't tell you yet! I got an Esper the other day! Half man half beast...or rather both fused together I have a picture of him but maybe I won't post it because it would spoil it for you.....

Yeah, I'm at Lhusu mines now. I got 2 quickenings They are awesome!! but i dunno how to work them... where does it show you what buttons to press to keep it going? i didn't see anything... or maybe it was because i was too busy watching the animation...


I don't wanna rush through the game, i only do that with FFVII and FFVIII because i've played them so much. and FFX was rushed through and i still got everything XD

i did some hunts today that Wraith was painful!!! he kept using darkness and Doom, and it killed everyone... but i killed it!!

and you can't spoil the espers for me, i already know what they are. they are all bosses from old FF games. one of them is even Chaos, from FF1!! (the final boss of FF1, pure awesomeness)

Their all old bosses?! really?! Cooooooool I have two quickenings too Ashe's moonswains (somthing like that) and Balthiers .....I forget I think it had to do with guns the name that is I also wonder if there is some button your suposed to mash......

I just fineshed the Henne mines today I did alot and I mean alot of stuff the croakodile was so hard after I leveld up I was able to beat it with out it healing it self fully again.

Oh and Khold I am warning you! Don't use all your LP on the top stuff all that magick goodness on the top is so useful but if you don't use some for the equipment on the bottom it will bite you just there! you can become way more powerfull if you use the stuff for armor ect.

As far as I know you don't need to kepp any of your "Loot" do you? I keep my teleport stones of cours but do I need to keep anything else?

I have... 6 quickenings? One for Vaan, Fran, Ashe, and Basch, and 2 for Balthier.

I LOVE QUICKENINGS... I finally figured out how to use them, and I can string together MASSIVE quickening combos!!!

I stayed in Rabanastre to level up and get quickenings, then i went hunting. I killed the Cluckatrice with 2 quickening combos, it was crazy!! the battle with it lasted not long

then I went to the Lhusu mines, and when the chase with Ba'Gamnan started, I used a quickening combo, and killed him right there for over 6000 damage!!!

Either I leveled up way too much, or Quickenings are the most powerful thing in any final fantasy...

what you do is when the quickening starts, you press one of the buttons (whichever shows up):
Triangle, Square or X.

if nothing shows up, then press R2 to shuffle stuff. once all the attacks are used, then you have to shuffle until it says "MIst charge" next to a button. that lets you use another attack.

keep going until time runs out.

if you get a 3 combo, then at the end will be a cool extra attack called Inferno. if you get (8? i dunno, some bigger number), then the extra attack will be Cataclysm.

I dunno what comes after cataclysm... i've only gotten a 9 combo before

it's kinda like Zell's limit break in FFVIII.

after that, you can do up to 6000 damage or more if you get a higher combo.

and I don't keep my loot.. i sell it. the only stuff I keep are the Teleport stones, and the rainbow egg I got from killing the Cluckatrice.

right now i'm in the Sandsea.. that cutscene was crazy... he just picks up some sand, and it's like water

and i was going through the sandsea (the crazy metal structure) and I saw this level 45 ball of light... that was creepy.. i thought it was going to attack...

but right now i'm talking to a moogle who says i have to kill some tortoise thing...

Wait one of my favorit cut sceens is comeing up khold the Nama yensa I think thats their name, when their riding the fish in the sand that was awesome! and if you get to a bird before you get a fruit from the nama yensa your dead although maybe not since you got and know how to do all thoughs quickinings.... your about to get your first esper!

I can get another quickining for Balthier any time but am wondering can't you only have three? that means when you have all three quickenings no more espers? because you can only have three espers? like you can have 2 quickenings and 1 esper or can you have 3 espers and 3 quickenings?

WOOT I met Al-Cid today! the cut sceen was so funny Penelo gasped and put her hands over her mouth when he kissed Ashe's hand XD So now I am at a really hard place getting Rathwalls second power... not telling what it is but I think I will be getting another esper soon!

I now have all the ra magick you know fira ect. it comes in so handy! with out it alot of thing would be so hard to defeat. Do you have the gold ring or what ever its cald? it give you double LP but I don't know were on the LP board it is

Have you got'n the thing thats 18000 gil in the bazzar goods? is it worth it? I could have got'n in once but decided to get all the good magick.

Another thing what level are you? three of my guys are 23 and three are 24. Killing wolfs are fun one hit 2 exp. but they also give you one LP! Also it sucks that there's no exp after a boss fight and no exp. after you kill something on a hunt.

What's the blankity that killed you? there were a lot of blankities...

yup yup, I LOVE quickenings... i think they might be FFXII's weak point... the quickenings are too powerful, making the game too easy... i just beat a couple more bosses today using only quickenings... I got an esper XD i killed him in one hit (10 combo) with a quickening. then i bought him on the license board.

I think you can have 3 quickenings and 3 espers...

Fran went crazy with all the Mist ... but it's okay, i killed that boss, too with a quickening

what's the 18000 gil thing in the bazaar? I haven't seen it yet...

Vaan and Fran are level 15; Balthier is 14; Basch is 13; and Penelo and Ashe are 12

and what about the exp? Even in FFX you didn't get exp for bosses...

I have the licenses for all the white magic in the game; Curaga, Curaja, Raise, Regen, and all those white magic level 8... but i don't have the magic itself

i don't know where to buy more magicks... all i know is Rabanastre and Bhujerba.. but they're all sold out...

Its unfair that you know all the quickinings >_> I only have 3 but can get two more. I had to defet the bosses far and sqare I didn't even use quikinings at all! You beat the Tiamat yet? or the elder Wirm? Oh and do you remeber where the big round roster is I can't find it were its suposed to be the chilens said kill the little ones and the big one would come but noooooo.

Have you looked at your beatsery yet? the amount of info in there! I started to read it ALL today and I'm still not done it took over 40 min and there is helpful stuff to like did you know if you bring some bat fangs and some yellow stuff >_> to a sails man he'll put a new more powerfull kind of thing in the bazzar! you gota read to find it all out!

Have you got'n the one moogles pet back for him the rocktoise? So cute when its small and comes back that is yeah I am kinda stuck at the shrine of Miriam I'm at the esper batle and aperently the thing I am fighting is a guy not a girl and is it true Shive is a guy too? thats just wrong >_>

Right now I'm in Rabanastre after getting back from the Tomb... I just got my first Esper.

I know about bringing stuff to get stuff in the bazaar. it's fun

and when i first met him, i thought Lamont was a girl ... i was like "there's no way that can be a boy" but then they kept saying "him" and i was like "don't you mean 'her'?"

and Shiva is a girl. Technically in the Hindu religion, he's a guy, but in the Final Fantasy world, they always make it a girl...

unless "Shive" is a character i haven't met yet... i just assumed you misspelled "shiva"

Yeah I ment Shiva and in this game Shiva is the best air ship! to bad about Iferit Oh and an even biger fleet was made ....did I just spoil somthing >_>

The Wyvirn lord was so easy! I didn't even use quickenings! and Penelo is my most powerful atacking charichter >_> yeah she has a hand bomb! she throws it.

I am at this one point in the game were I am racing to get a trickster (a white chocobo!) its a hunt and so I am against this guy from the clan but we get there at the same time annd wee join forces! he just fallowes you around sort of like the Garif warior in Ozmone plains. So as soon as I find it and another mark thats near by I will try and beat Mathues again. I think I could right now but I want to get thees hunts out of the way.

I got another Gold amulet and I found it on the LP board so Balthier and Penelo get dubble LP!

Lets see any thing else? Have you met the one Viera in Rabinaster at one of the gates? Yeah well you'll understand when you do she gose to the gambit shop and its easy after there it took me forever to find her but I good stuff from the Love struk Rabinastrien after I was done that quest

my friend ben says that he hates the way ff12 is.. the battle style stinks and everything.. idk.. i think its ok.. im just used to have the lil victory thingy at the end of every battle.. i think thats the only bad thing about 12
